Do blogs have an impact on the political process?
It evolve from not having in impact in the early 2000 to
making a dent around 2003 then 2006 having an impact to 2012 being needed to
raise money, and get votes.
They challenge the existing political campaign structure of
hierarchal top-down organization.
Information reformation.
Metonyms and narrative development.
Myths construct symbolic/ cultural chains and are present in
images and social narratives.
Narratives are metonymic chains. ( metonyms mean a part
standing for the whole work by the association of meanings. )
The metonyms work to create a realistic effect and the sign
becomes a part standing for the whole. They draw upon cultural knowledge to
make sense.
Blogs challenge traditional big perspective of history as
nice neat linear events to focusing on rupture, break, mutation, transformation
and gives historical viewpoint a new foundation.
